I’m not sure I agree with that. Part of my job as a consultant is to ‘hear’ what is being said as well as what isn’t. Listening is only one part of that equation, hearing is the other so I don’t see one as being more important than the other – I do think you need to do both if you’re going to be effective working with groups.
